Aaron Tucker is from the Dotte, located in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. He plans to move to Memphis Tennessee upon graduation to design, and serve the community. Aaron likes community development and wants to positively impact communities through design, storytelling, and poetry. Aaron likes the concept of the phrase, “design as a verb”.
Armando Rodriguez, originally from Garden City, Kansas, will be going to Dallas, Texas after graduating. There he hopes to find a career where everyday is something new and exciting.

Audrey Hockersmith grew up in Olathe, Kansas. Like with most things in her life, she isn’t entirely sure where she’s headed after graduation, but she has an interest in publication and print design. She loves design for how it brings together visual art, words, and functionality.
One of her favorite memories from her time in the design program was attending the AIGA conference in Las Vegas with some of her classmates.
Autumn Short was born and raised in McPherson, Kansas. After graduation, Autumn will move to Chicago and start her journey in the design world. Her passion for layout design and all things print stems from her love of books and magazines.

After graduation, Carly is excited to officially become a resident of Kansas. Though Carly will be living with her soon-to-be husband in the northeast area of Kansas, she is looking at all opportunities to continue her career dreams and goals as a print and freelance designer.
As Tad Carpenter puts it, she is excited to “embrace the play” in all her future design endeavors!
Jeff Miller is a product of the Midwest, born in Manhattan, Kansas. He plans to move to Kansas City post-graduation and work toward a career in branding design. He said he loves the idea of developing an identity for a client and the positive effects it can have.

Jessica Bruning is from Olathe, Kansas. After graduation, she is excited to start pursuing a career in the design field. Jessica is interested in branding and packaging for companies, but is open to all fields of design. She primarily enjoys taking on new challenges to expand her design capabilities. Jessica is inspired by the natural world around her and feels the most energized after spending time exploring the outdoors.

Joe Hoog is a graphic designer and printmaker from Kansas City. After graduation, he plans to work as a designer in his hometown. He wants to specialize in identity design and printmaking.

Jordan Fox was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. After graduation she will be pursuing a design career in Kansas City, making some really cool stuff. Jordan has an interest in advertising and a passion for typography, from hand lettering to experimental type, and has always known art is where she belonged.

Kari Keahey’s love for design started as she grew up in the small town of Dodge City, Kansas. After graduation, Kari is excited to pursue a career in web design and coding. She would love to focus on web design because she really enjoys the challenge of coding websites, yet it still allows her to use her designing abilities.

Kristen Ortleb calls Wichita, Kansas, home — but not for much longer. She's interested in retail and experience design, and wants to move to a big city upon graduation. Kristen loves design because it allows her to interact with an eclectic group of people and it's always changing. She loves any spontaneous adventure that she gets to take with her classmates, especially if those activities involve eating food.
Lauren Martin is from Lenexa, Kansas. She plans on returning to Kansas City after graduation to pursue a career in graphic design. She loves illustration and bringing beauty to the world through design.

Michael is originally from Chicago, but grew up in St. Marys, Kansas. He plans to move to Kansas City and work for an agency with a diverse range of projects and clients. He loves that design is about communication and that it visually represents a concept that someone is passionate about.

Rebecca Phouangphet has a true love and passion for her hometown, Kansas City. Go ‘Yals! But after graduation she would love to explore and pursue a career in identity branding elsewhere along the west coast. What drives her the most about branding is being able to utilize skill and imagination to create something unique and memorable.

Ryan Woods is originally from Lenexa, Kansas. He plans to move to a big city at some point and explore design and improv comedy. His dream job is to design beer bottles that the band Radiohead can buy and drink.

Sarah Wylan was raised in Leawood, Kansas and is passionate about beginning her career in design. She enjoys experimenting with problems to create solutions with various materials and new techniques. After graduation, she is excited to move and explore many possibilities in the design industry such as surface pattern design, branding and publication design.

Shelby is from Eudora, Kansas where she has lived her whole life — up until college of course. Her future plans include either living in the Kansas City or Overland Park area. Shelby would love to potentially work for a company to create packaging or branding. Shelby's favorite memory from studio is working on packaging projects and getting to know her fellow studio mates while working and learning about their love for design.
Born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, Spencer looks forward to relocating to the Kansas City area after graduation. He draws inspiration from theater, pop culture, music, storytelling, language, and more to develop the conceptual brands, websites, applications, and information systems of tomorrow. His favorite design school experience was volunteering at the national AIGA conference in Las Vegas.

Valerie Meyer is from the teeny, tiny town of Bern, Kansas. After graduation she plans to stick around the Little Apple with her husband and baby girl, as well as work part time for K-State Housing and Dining Marketing. She loves creating, and is ultimately inspired by the One who created this earth and everything in it. She chose design because it intersects the love of creating with communication.
